Georgia vs Missouri: Luther Burden is going to play after injury, ‘locked in’ for season

Georgia vs Missouri: Missouri five-star freshman wide receiver Luther Burden scrubbed his Instagram account this week, following the Tigers’ overtime loss to Auburn, after not playing in the game because of injury. According to a report, ahead of Saturday night’s game against top-ranked Georgia, Thamel reported that Burden is “locked in” and ready to take on the Bulldogs.

Luther Burden was questionable to play in this game, He had an ankle injury. Now probably he is going to play today. He’s going to be more than 80%. but team may not be able to use him in all the ways they have. He has a receiving catch for a touchdown. He’s, obviously, run for a touchdown. He’s (taken a) punt return for a touchdown. He’s only going to be 80% of all. In terms of scrubbing his Instagram, the sources say he’s locked in and ready to go for the rest of this season — and we’ll see what he can do against the Bulldogs tonight.”

In three starts this season, Burden has 10 catches for 78 yards and a touchdown too. He has also been used in red-zone situations in the backfield and took a keeper for a score in Missouri’s season-opening win over Louisiana Tech.

Burden was the No. 3 player overall and No. 1 wide receiver for the Class of 2021, from East Saint Louis in Illinois. Through four games this season, Burden has 10 catches for 78 yards and one touchdown.
