  • Explanation: Kavach is an indigenously developed ‘Automatic Train Protection System’. It was recently tested on South Central Railway. As per the Union Budget, this system will be completely rolled out on 2000 kms section in 2022-2023.

It is also called as Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS). This is India’s own indigenous Automatic Train Protection System. Its name has been changed to ‘Kavach’.
